About
Diabetic foot is a serious complication of diabetes, which can seriously affect the quality of life of patients. The progression of diabetic foot is the gradual increase of the at-risk foot grade and finally progress to diabetic foot. In the absence of effective treatments, early detection and early action can help slow or even stop the progression of diabetic foot. This study aims to determine at-risk foot grade in combination with diabetic complications and foot conditions, and determine risk factors for at-risk foot in diabetic patients based on biochemical and haematological indicators, environmental factors and lifestyle characteristics, and construct a prediction model for at-risk foot grade Study methods include: Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) to characterize genetic variants/mutations associated with diabetic at-risk foot. The polygenic risk score (PRS) was calculated according to the GWAS analysis results. Cox proportional hazard model, random forest model, and group-based trajectory model were used to identify biological factors, anthropometric data, behavioral factors, lifestyle factors, and dynamic trajectories of indicators associated with diabetic at-risk foot. Combined with the above analysis, a prediction model for the occurrence and development of diabetic at-risk foot was constructed. The results of our study, which is expected to last three years, will help guide the early detection and intervention of diabetic foot, delay the progression of diabetic at-risk foot, reduce the occurrence of diabetic foot, and thus help improve the quality of life of diabetic patients.1 Publication
