About
Aim: The aim of this study is to explore the association of environmental exposure with mental health and brain structural and function, and to explore the potential mediating indicators. Scientific Rationale: Mental health is gradually gaining widespread attention in society. There is growing evidence that environmental factors are associated with the development of mental disorders. However, there are very few systematic assessments of the association between environmental factors and mental health, and the biological mechanisms involved remain unclear, while the potential mediators need to be further explored. In addition, imaging evidence suggests that brain structure and function are related to the pathogenesis of mental disorders. Clarifying the specificity of brain structure and function in people with mental disorders and the influence of environmental factors can help to promote the mechanism research, but it remains to be further explored. Project Duration: The expected duration of the project is three years. Public Health Impact: This study will help to provide evidence support for research on the mechanisms of the association between environmental factors and mental health, inform early detection and prevention of mental disorders, and ultimately promote mental health in the population.1 Publication
